Mornings in Motion – Free Movement and Brunch Club
Mornings in Motion is a free monthly Saturday club at Hackney School of Food, designed for older adults and anyone who has fewer opportunities to be active.
Each session offers gentle movement, stretching, and a chance to connect with others in a welcoming, supportive environment.
There’s no pressure to “keep up” and no expectation to be a certain level of fit. We’ll spend the session waking up our bodies slowly, and then we sit down together to enjoy a nourishing breakfast and a good chat.
What to expect:
- Gentle exercises: this includes light stretching, slow movements to improve mobility, balance and flexibility, and easy breathing exercises to help you feel calmer and more relaxed.
- Supportive, friendly facilitation: Sessions are led by an experienced facilitator who explains each movement clearly, offers options for different levels.
- A warm, welcoming space: Our garden room is accessible and uplifting. There’s time at the start and end of the session to settle in, chat, and feel comfortable in the space.
- A nutritious breakfast: After the movement session, we enjoy a healthy breakfast together. Expect simple, nourishing food and hot drinks, with space to sit, chat, and get to know others. Food is included and free.
